Leaf Air manages the flight school at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport. Run by Jim Barrett, Leaf Air has several instructors available to take you on an introductory flight then instruct you in their Cessna 172.. Leaf Air also provides scenic flights over the Lake George area.

Leaf Air Pilot Services

Leaf Air Pilot Services offers customized flight and ground training programs from Sport Pilot and Private Pilot to Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, in both single-engine and multi-engine aircraft.

Proficiency Training and Biennial Flight Reviews

Proficiency training and Biennial Flight Reviews as well as complex and high-performance endorsements are provided for those wishing to enhance their piloting skills, in your aircraft or one of many for rent.

Take a tour of the Adirondacks

Take a tour of the Adirondacks, seeing treasures of Lake George, the Sagamore Resort, or even your own home. (Passengers are always welcome to take the controls and experience what it is like to fly the aircraft.)

Flight Instruction

Leaf Air provides professional instruction in our Cessna 172 aircraft – one of the most popular training aircraft in the world. Our experienced instructors will ensure that your training will result in a safe and proficient pilot. Providing instruction for Private, Instrument, Commercial and CFI. Learn to fly on your schedule, year round, seven days a week.  Advanced instruction is available in our Cessna 182RG for high performance/complex endorsements. We look forward to flying with you to complete your Flight Review, Wings Program or aircraft rental checkout.
